Squaw Valley USA Launches New Legend 3-Pack

Three Visits. Valid Any Day. $63 per day!

[Squaw Valley USA] February 17, 2011 - Squaw Valley announced a new 3-visit value pass that allows skiers and riders to enjoy the resort’s legendary terrain for $63 per day – a total of $75 in savings. Available now for purchase at $189 for adults, the Squaw Legend 3-Pack will be valid February 26, 2011 through the end of the 2010-11 winter season, with no date restrictions. While the pass is reloadable in increments of 3 throughout the season for the same rate, the original purchase must be made on or before March 11, 2011.

Currently in the midst of a major snowstorm, Squaw Valley has already received over 3 feet of fresh snow, with another 2 to 3 feet predicted to fall this week. The result of a low-pressure system originating in the Gulf of Alaska, the storm is slated to deliver more than 5 feet of snow before Presidents’ Day Weekend.

"Squaw Valley received very positive feedback for the Legend 5-Pack launched in January," said Julie Maurer, Squaw Valley’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "Based on that feedback we decided to launch the Legend 3-Pack for guests to enjoy Squaw Valley’s incredible conditions at an attractive rate."

The Legend 3-Pack is available online at squaw.com as well at the Special Tickets or at any ticket window. As there are no date restrictions, the 3-pack is valid any day of the 2010-11 winter season on or after February26, 2011. The 3-Pack is a non-transferable product limited to the individual’s name on the pass. The product is valid through May 8, 2011 or the end of the 2010-11 winter season.

“The Big Mountain Battle series continues to be a huge success. It appeals to a really broad group of riders — from weekend warriors to father and son teams,” said Marshall Rutman, Helly Hansen’s North American marketing manager. “The event gives participants a chance to explore their local mountain and track their performance online after the event. It really makes for a fun day on the mountain and we’re anticipating a record turnout this year.”

Cost for the event is $85 per team and includes two Helly Hansen baselayers, valued at $45 each as well as a year-long subscription to Powder magazine. For more information and to register online, visit: www.bigmountainbattle.com
