Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows Offer New Deals on Lift Tickets

Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows announce the new Tahoe Super 4 and other great discounted products to get on the ski lifts this winter

[Olympic Valley and Tahoe City, CA] December 26, 2011 – As the new year draws near, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are offering great discounts on lift ticket products to get skiers and riders on the mountain. Since Squaw and Alpine combined this fall, both resorts can now be accessed by one lift ticket or season pass. The new Squaw/Alpine Express shuttle is running between the two resorts every 20 minutes, providing seamless and convenient access to both mountains’ incredible terrain.

The New Tahoe Super 4!
Squaw and Alpine announce the new Tahoe Super 4 – offering four unrestricted days at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows for $289 for adults (less than $73 per day), $239 for young adults ages 13 to 22 (less than $60 per day) and $119 for kids ages 5 to 12 (less than $30 per day). The Tahoe Super 4 can be used any four days of the 2011-12 winter season at both resorts with no blackout days. The Tahoe Super 4 is available on squaw.com and skialpine.com.

The Tahoe Super 6 – Available only through January 1, 2012!
Skiers and riders can get six unrestricted days of skiing and riding at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows for $399 for adults ($66 per day), $299 for young adults ages 13 to 22 (less than $50 per day) and just $149 for kids ages 5 to 12 ($25 per day) with the Tahoe Super 6. Hurry though! While the Tahoe Super 6 is valid through the end of the 2011-12 winter season with no blackout dates, it is only available for purchase through January 1, 2012. 3-Day Advance Discounted Online Tickets
Skiers and riders heading to Squaw and Alpine can save time and money this winter buy buying lift tickets online three days or more in advance. With early season pricing currently in effect, skiers and riders can purchase single day lift tickets online for just $76 for adults this holiday season ($8 savings). Kids Ages 4 and Under Ski Free
Kids ages 4 and under can now ski and ride for free at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows! Parents can choose between getting a complimentary season pass for their little ones under the age of five, or pick up a daily free lift ticket at any ticket window.

Fly & Ski Free

Guests just off the airplane can ski or ride the afternoon for free at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Guests can present a same-day commercial airline boarding pass with a matching photo ID at Squaw Valley’s Tickets, Passes and Snowsports Center or Alpine Meadow’s special tickets window and receive a complimentary lift ticket good for the rest of the afternoon as well as night skiing, when night operations are in effect. Free Lift Tickets for Active Duty Military
In recognition of U.S. Military Personnel, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows offer complimentary lift tickets for active duty military members every Sunday through Friday, excluding holidays. To redeem, military can present proof of active duty status at Squaw's Tickets, Passes and Snowsports Center at the base of the mountain of Alpine Meadow’s special tickets window in the main lodge. Holiday blackout dates for the Military Lift Ticket program include: 12/17/11 - 1/01/12; 1/14/12 - 1/16/12; 2/18/12 - 2/25/12; and all Saturdays in the 2011-12 winter season.

Discounted Tickets for College Students
This winter, college students can ski or ride Squaw Valley and Alpine for just $59 on select Sundays through Fridays. To receive the discount, college students can visit squaw.com and fill out the online registration form found through the deals and discounts page.

SQUAW AND ALPINE CELEBRATE LEARN TO SKI AND SNOWBOARD MONTH WITH $39 PACKAGE

Skiers and riders can learn to ski and ride for $39 including lesson, lift ticket, and rentals

[Olympic Valley and Tahoe City, Calif.] December 23, 2011 – Calling all beginner skiers and riders, January is national learn to ski and snowboard month and both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are celebrating, January 8 and 29, by offering affordable beginner learn-to-ski and ride packages for $39, including a half-day lesson (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.), lift ticket and equipment rentals. This is a great opportunity to hit the slopes and fine-tune your skills with lessons from the pros.

“Whether you’re a first-time skier or rider or simply looking to advance your skills, this is a great time to get out on the hill when the crowds have died down after the holidays,” said Dee Byrne, director of snow sports. “Our experienced instructors will provide the foundation you need to develop proper technique and will have you falling in love with the sport.”

For those that find they are hooked after just one lesson, there is the option to upgrade for $130 to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ Learn to Ski/Ride Three-Day Progression Package. The Progression Package includes three days of lessons (10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., ages 13+), lift tickets, rental equipment, and a learn-to-turn guarantee. Lessons can be taken consecutively or spread throughout the season. This package is offered daily throughout the season for just $289.

Another great learn to ski and snowboard option available throughout the season is the First Time Skier/Rider Package for $159. This package is an introduction to the basics and will teach students to learn to turn, stop and ride lifts at a comfortable pace. This package includes lessons (10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., ages 13+), lift ticket and rental equipment. There is also an afternoon (1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.) option with the Afternoon First Time Skier/Rider Package for $119. For an additional $130, an upgrade is available to the Learn to Ski/Ride Three-Day Progression Package for anyone who decides they would like an additional two days of lessons.
