THE LAKE TAHOE PREMIERE “IN DEEP" AND SHANE TRIBUTE PARTY OCTOBER 3, 2009
[Squaw Valley USA] September 25, 2009 – MSP Films’ latest ski movie, “In Deep, the skiing experience” is premiering at the Olympic Village Lodge in Squaw Valley on October 3, 2009. The evening features athlete appearances, prize giveaways, a Saucerboy costume contest and a special Shane Tribute Party with live music and antics celebrating the incredible life of Shane McConkey.

Given the enormous MSP and Shane friend and fan base in Tahoe, the Squaw Valley premiere features three showings of “In Deep”: 6 pm (doors open at 5 pm), 8 pm (doors open at 7:30 pm), and 10 pm (doors open at 9:30 pm). Tickets can be purchased for $10 at the door or in advance at Porters in Tahoe City and Truckee.

Following the 10 pm showing of “In Deep”, the 21 & up crowd can stick around for live music and Shane Tribute Party. All premiere-goers who want to drink at the bar during the film and stay for the after-party must be 21+ and have valid I.D.

For “In Deep,” MSP took a new approach, by choosing to document the experience surrounding the sport of skiing. Each segment is built around different aspects of the sport. Highlights from the film include the “Lines” segment, which illustrates each individual’s unique vision of skiing big mountain lines. A standout newcomer to the MSP team, Henrik Windstedt, has a breakthrough segment that transitions into some of the fastest skiing seen in the Alaskan backcountry, courtesy of Daron Rahlves, Chris Davenport, and Henrik Windstedt. The most powerful segment of “In Deep”, and the most anticipated, is the tribute segment to Shane McConkey.

“In Deep” features Squaw Valley’s brightest stars, Ingrid Backstrom, Michelle Parker, JT Holmes and Shane. They are joined by fellow world class rippers Mark Abma, Sean Pettit, Eric Hjorleifson, Daron Rahlves, Henrik Windstedt, Chris Davenport, Bobby Brown, Colby West, TJ Schiller, Mike Douglas, Kaj Zackrisson, James Heim, Hugo Harrisson, Rory Bushfield, PK Hunder, Jacob Wester, Russ Henshaw, Henrik Harlaut, Alexis Godbout, Sammy Carlson, and Chris Rubens.
