North Lake Tahoe Olympic Heritage Celebration
January 8, 2010 - January 17, 2010
Join our community in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 8th Olympic Winter Games in our region. We will be welcoming 1960 Winter Olympic athletes as well as other local Olympians including Jonny Moseley, Tamara McKinney and Kristin Krone. We invite you to share in our Olympic Heritage Celebration.

Friday, January 8:
Torch Relay from Sugar Pine Point State Park to
Squaw Valley USA: 9am - 4:30pm
Opening Ceremony in the Village: 4:30pm
Fireworks: 6pm at the Base
Private Olympian Reception: 6:30 at Squaw Valley Lodge

Saturday, January 9:
Shooting Stars Youth Slalom Race: 11am
1960 Retro Party at Olympic House: 8pm. $10 at the door

Sunday, January 10:
50th Anniversary Jazz Service at Squaw Valley Chapel: 10am
Plumas Ski Club Longboard Expo on the Resort Run: 11am - 3pm
Aprés Ski Social: 3pm on the Resort at Squaw Creek Sun Deck
PlumJack Wine Tasting with Jonny Moseley: 5:00pm

Men's Downhill Course Tours guided by Olympians: 10am & 2pm
