[Squaw Valley USA] November 8, 2010 – On Sunday, November 7, Squaw Valley USA received nearly a foot of fresh snow, leaving all six of the mountain’s peaks covered top to bottom for the first time this season.

Squaw Valley received 10-12” of snow, the result of a low pressure system moving down the West Coast and a strong cold front moving inland from the Pacific. Monday morning brought blue skies and a fresh blanket of snow that covered all of Squaw Valley USA’s 4,000 acres.

With nighttime temperatures slated to remain below 32°F, Squaw Valley USA will be blasting its state-of-the-art snowmaking system all week in preparation for opening day on November 20.

This November, guests can celebrate Thanksgiving at el. 8200’ at Squaw Valley USA’s Thanksgiving at High Camp. Squaw Valley will be serving up delicious turkey with all the traditional fixings amidst spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra. For more details see www.squaw.com.
