Squaw Valley USA Announces 2011-12 Season Pass Pricing
With the highest cumulative snowfall ever recorded, Squaw Valley announces 2011-12 season passes


[Squaw Valley USA] March 25, 2011 – Amidst a record-breaking snowstorm, Squaw Valley USA announced its season pass pricing for the 2011-12 winter season. With adult season passes starting at $399 and just $99 for kids, Squaw Valley is offering its traditional three tiered season pass option of Gold, Silver and Bronze. Squaw Valley has made several improvements to their season passes and pricing structure for 2011-12. Reduced rate prices are only guaranteed through June 15, 2011. “For next season, we have significantly reduced the price of the unlimited Gold Pass as well as reduced the number of blackout dates on the Bronze pass,” said Julie Maurer, Squaw Valley’s Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “We have also expanded season pass benefits on all passes to include summer Cable Car access and spring access to our very popular mountaintop swimming lagoon and hot tub.”


Squaw Valley USA’s new revised blackout dates leave both Christmas and New Year’s Day valid for all season pass holders. All season passes also include perks such as discounted prices on lift tickets for friends, discounted ski and snowboard private lessons and reduced-rate lift tickets on blackout days.

As part of Squaw Valley’s $50 million capital improvement project, the resort is currently reviewing plans for on-mountain and base area improvements that will further enhance the skier and rider experience for the 2011-12 winter season. Other initiatives include a continued focus on the guest experience, mountain grooming and culinary services that the resort commenced this season.


Skiers and riders who wish to ride Squaw this spring can purchase any 2011-12 Squaw season pass and add Spring 2011 for just $129. At nearly 700", the highest cumulative snowfall ever recorded, Squaw Valley USA is slated to have a phenomenal spring skiing season. Ranked one of the Top 5 Spring Skiing destinations in North America by The New York Times, Squaw Valley offers a mountaintop pool and hot tub overlooking the Sierra, a host of spring concerts and pool parties and incredible spring snow conditions. Squaw Valley boasts Lake Tahoe’s longest winter season with a scheduled closing date of May 8, 2011.


Squaw Valley USA is offering reloadable passes in keeping with their sustainability goals and to offer greater customer convenience. Current Squaw season passholders wishing to purchase a 2011-12 pass online can reload their 2011-12 pass with zero hassle.

The following is the adult pricing for the 2011-12 season pass. Lowest pricing is only guaranteed through June 15, 2011.

GOLD - $699
Squaw Valley’s unlimited Gold Pass is now available at the lowest rate ever with a $250 savings from last season. For $699, skiers and riders can take full advantage of Squaw Valley’s legendary terrain every day of the 2011-12 winter season.

SILVER - $499
Squaw Valley’s Silver Pass is the most ‘bang for your buck’ with limited blackout dates. Ideal for those looking to ski weekends. Pass not valid during select holiday dates.*

BRONZE - $399
Squaw Valley’s most inexpensive pass is ideal for those who can navigate a more restricted pass. Pass not valid during select holiday dates and Saturdays in January and February**

COLLEGE - $379
The College Pass is back and better than ever. Now valid every weekend of the 2011-12 winter season, with the exception of select holiday dates. The College Pass is available to all full-time college students at accredited colleges and universities.***

Purchasing Online
Squaw season passes can be purchased online at www.squaw.com beginning at 12 p.m. (PST) on Friday, March 25, 2011. Purchasers can fill-out all necessary forms and payment information online. Passes will be sent by mail.

Purchasing By Mail
Purchasers may fill out the season pass form, include method of payment and return to us by mail according to instructions on the form. Pass forms must be postmarked by June 15, 2011 to ensure discounted rate.

Purchasing in Person at Squaw Valley USA
Squaw season passes pass can be purchased in person by visiting the Squaw Valley Special Tickets Office or the Season Pass Office located in The Village; this must be done by end of the business day on June 15, 2011 to guarantee this low price.

Early season rates are only guaranteed through June 15, 2011 at midnight (for online purchases) or at the end of the business day in the Season Pass Office (3pm). After that time, the 2011-12 pass prices are subject to increase.
