Squaw Valley USA Offers Discounted Lift Tickets to Passholders of
Other Ski Areas and In Celebration of the Amgen Tour of California

Squaw offers $49 lift tickets for passholders of other resorts this spring and $39 lift tickets for everyone on Monday, May 16

[Squaw Valley USA] May 9, 2011 - To celebrate the final weeks of their record-breaking season that covered the mountain with over 730 inches of snow, Squaw Valley USA will offer discounted lift tickets to anyone that presents a 2010-11 season pass from another ski area.

"Mother Nature has been especially kind to us this season," said Julie Maurer, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "We have broken every season snowfall total on record, and we wanted to give other passholders a chance to be a part of this legendary season."

Anyone that shows a 2010-11 season pass from another ski area to the Special Tickets Office will be able to purchase a full day adult lift ticket for just $49 - $10 off the spring lift ticket price of $59.

"We still have a 155” base and we are operating several lifts including the ever popular KT-22 through May 30, conditions permitting," continued Maurer. "If your mountain has closed but you want to enjoy Lake's Tahoe's best spring skiing, come to Squaw Valley, bring your pass to Special Tickets, and get $10 off our already discounted spring lift tickets."

Squaw Valley USA will also be selling $39 lift tickets on Monday, May 16, in honor of the Amgen Tour of California, the largest cycling event in America. May 16 marks the start of Stage 2 of the Amgen Tour of California taking place in The Village at Squaw Valley.

Spectators can watch the start of the bike race at 10:15 a.m. in the Village and then enjoy a day of skiing and riding on the mountain for just $39. A portion of the day’s lift ticket proceeds will benefit Biking for a Better World, a local non-profit who raises awareness and funds for communities in need of bicycles to improve their quality of life.

With the longest ski season in Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley USA will remain open through May 30, 2011. Following Sunday, May 8, Squaw Valley is now operating on a Friday through Sunday schedule through Memorial Day with the addition of Monday, May 16 and Monday, May 30.

Squaw Valley is selling season passes for the 2011-12 winter season starting at just $399. Lowest pricing is guaranteed through June 15, 2011. All season passes include summer Cable Car access, 'bring-a-friend' discounted tickets, and discounts on lessons, retail purchases and parking passes. See squaw.com for more details.
