[Olympic Valley, Calif.] May 21, 2013 - The slope side condominium suites at The Village at Squaw Valley are receiving $1.2 million in renovations for summer 2013, including all new mattresses and bedding, as well as new furniture, carpet, additional flat screen TVs and air conditioning in many units.

The room renovations at The Village at Squaw Valley have all been designed with guests in mind. The Village surveyed guests to find what they would most like to see improved and many of the survey results revolved around bedding. As a result, each bedroom in every rental unit at The Village at Squaw Valley has been upgraded with new mattresses and new, modern, triple-sheet bedding with a sophisticated feel – all to ensure a great night’s sleep in the mountains.

As the units are all privately owned, The Village at Squaw Valley worked closely with individual home owners and interior designer Kelly Deblois to upgrade each rental unit to best accommodate guests. Deblois is a principle at Solde’ Designs in San Diego whose resume includes major redesigns at La Costa in Carlsbad, Calif. While each unit is unique in its design, the Village units have been renovated with either a rustic elegance or a mountain contemporary feel. Both themes complement the extraordinary environment of Squaw Valley.

In addition to the Village room renovations, $1.6 million has been spent in improvements to indoor and outdoor meeting and function space at Squaw Valley over the last two years. New this summer, Squaw is investing $50,000 in a new wedding garden at Olympic Village Lodge / Squaw Valley Conference Center. In addition to weddings, the garden will be a fantastic venue for hosting meeting receptions and family reunion events.

Other meeting and conference space investments include the new KT Base Bar, completely remodeled Plaza Bar and Bar One in Olympic House, an interior remodel of Olympic Village Lodge / Squaw Valley Conference Center and Rocker@Squaw, the newest restaurant space in The Village at Squaw Valley.
