SQUAW VALLEY did receive 2 to 3” of new snow, operation for today include at EL 6200 the Tram for sightseeing and 5 lifts, along with 3 kids lifts. EL 8200 open for sightseeing, dinning, shopping and Ice Skating only

ALPINE MEADOWS did receive 4 to 51/2” of fresh snow. They are planning on 6 lifts in operation. They now have one park open.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN with 16 lifts expected today, four parks and their Olympic size 1/2 pipe. With top to bottom skiing. They did receive 1 to 2” of new snow.

SUGAR BOWL should have 5 lifts in operation.

HEAVENLY California Base lodge now offers the Tram, Gondola and 8 lifts operating on the Nevada side 11 lifts.

KIRKWOOD did receive 6” of fresh snow; they should operate 4 lifts today. The cross country center is open on a limited basis from 10 AM until 4 PM.

BOREAL MOUNTAIN RESORT 4 lifts for day skiing and 2 lifts for night skiing. It has just started to snow.

SODA SPRINGS is closed today.

MT ROSE is closed again today, due to high winds; Children’s programs for today are cancelled.

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE is operating 1 park, their super pipe is open to the public, 16 lifts in operation, the Ice Rink is open from 12 noon to 8 PM, Cross Country and Telemark Center are open on a limited basis. Northstar did receive 4” of new snow.

SIERRA AT TAHOE has 5 chair lifts running today.

TAHOE DONNER is closed until it snows again.

DIAMOND PEAK did receive ½ to 1” of new snow, they have top to bottom skiing with 5 lifts in operation.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT received 2 to 3” of fresh snow they are planning on operating 2 surface lifts at the bottom.

THE WEATHER WAS TAKEN BETWEEN 4:30 AM AND 6 AM AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY. THE WEATHER WAS CLOUDY WITH MIXED PRECIPATATION. TEMPRATURES WERE IN THE MID 20’S TO THE MID 30’S; WINDS MODERATE 15 MPH TO 35 MPH WINDS ON THE PEAKS AND RIDGES TO 45 MPH WITH MUCH HIGHER GUSTS. THE SURFACE CONDITIONS VERIABLE WITH FRESH SNOW ON TOP, ON GOING SNOW MAKING, MACHINE TILLED AND GROOMED, FIRM IN THE MORNING, SOFTENING WITH SUN. STAY IN AREAS WHERE SNOW IS MADE IT IS EARLY SEASON CONDITIONS THERE ARE OBSTICLES BOTH MARKED AND UNMARKED. WE ASK YOU TO BE AWARE RIDE AND SKI WITH CARE.
