[Squaw Valley USA] April 16, 2009- Squaw Valley USA and KTKE are excited to present $20 lift tickets in honor of 101.5 Meet Your Mountain 50/60 Day and Pool Party on Sunday, April 26. Meet Your Mountain Day is designed to give prospective 2009-10 passholders the opportunity to get acquainted with Squaw Valley’s vast terrain and amenities, and friendly management before the celebratory 50/60 Season Pass prices increase on May 11, 2009. Meet Your Mountain Day $20 lift tickets are available at all Squaw Valley ticket portals on Sunday, April 26.

Starting at 9 am when the mountain opens, Squaw Valley management and Squaw Valley Chief Mountain Host (and Olympic Gold Medalist), Jonny Moseley will be at lifts and around the mountain, meeting and greeting guests all day.

Beginning at noon, fun-loving skiers and riders can head to the world-famous High Camp, el. 8200’, for live music, a season pass raffle, and air guitar and swimsuit contests at the 101.5 Meet Your Mountain Pool Party. The cost of entrance into the Pool Party is a $1 raffle ticket that automatically enters party-goers into the season pass drawing.

From noon to 3 pm, KTKE DJs spin music and broadcast live from the 101.5 Meet Your Mountain Pool Party. The Air Guitar contest starts at 1:30 pm, followed by the swim suit contest – with Head skis and cash prizes awarded to the winners of each contest respectively. At 2:30 pm KTKE DJs draw the winner of the Squaw Season Pass raffle (winner must be present at the Pool Party). All proceeds from pool entry/raffle tickets benefit Truckee’s KidZone Museum.

In celebration of two milestone anniversaries – Squaw Valley’s 60th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of the 1960 Olympics, Squaw Valley is offering 2009-10 Season Passes for as low as $369 for adults and $99 for children. In the past Squaw’s season pass price point kept many snow sport enthusiasts from discovering Squaw Valley’s 4,000 acres of skiable terrain, advanced lift network of 33 lifts, convenient base area parking, free night skiing, a mountaintop lagoon & Spa, and the many other perks afforded to Squaw Valley Passholders. 101.5 Meet Your Mountain 50/60 Day on Sunday, April 26 is all about inviting skiers and riders to Squaw Valley for a day, for a taste of what makes Squaw Valley Lake Tahoe’s top-ranked ski resort.
