GIRL POWDER’S 3RD ANNUAL QUEEN OF THE PARK COMES TO SQUAW VALLEY USA
[Squaw Valley USA] March 18, 2010 – Girl Powder’s Third Annual Queen of the Park is coming to Squaw Valley USA Saturday, March 20, 2010. Queen of the Park is a ripping park event open to girls of all ages. The event gives girls a chance to show the world what they do on the slopes while establishing a greater sense of community among female park riders. The event will kick off at 3pm on Exhibition. As the event will be hosted at the base of the mountain, lift tickets are not required for competitors or spectators.

"Last year's competition was incredible and we knew it would be hard to top," stated Girl Powder CEO and Founder Joel Lackovich. “With girl’s throwing down at Queen of the Park in South Lake Tahoe, CA for the last two years we wanted to change it up in 2010.” Joel and the Girl Powder crew did just that and set their sights on Squaw Valley USA in North Lake Tahoe, CA. "The entire Girl Powder Crew is excited to see what features the Squaw Valley terrain park will bring to the table and what tricks the girls will throw down this year.”

Registration will be held in the Squaw Valley Village March 20 from 9am to 3pm, while spots are available. The cost to enter is $20 and all competitors will receive a Queen of the Park T-shirt. Girl Powder’s Queen of the Park will take place on Exhibition at the base of the mountain, and the competition will start promptly at 3pm. Immediately following the competition will be Girl Powder’s “Token Drag Queen” competition starting at 4:30pm. Dudes who like to shred while dressed in drag should check-in at registration to sign a waiver between 9am and 4pm. Registration for the Drag Queen competition is free.
