Happy to announce that the Heavenly Gondola opens today, Friday, June 18, for summer operation
Want to get those panoramic views of Lake Tahoe that are only found in magazines and art studios? Well now it's possible to capture an aerial view of the lake and mountains, adding your very own artistic flare, with a ride up the Heavenly Gondola
At the top of the Gondola, Adventure Peak provides fun for the entire family, including hiking, rock climbing and other kid-specific activities. Please note that because of snow, there will be NO ACCESS TO HIKING. We'll update the blog when the hiking trails are open.
We will offer the Spider Climber and Rock Climbing Wall from 11am to 4pm. The Adventure Peak BBQ, Umbrella Bar and Cafe Blue will all be open from 11am to 3pm.
The weather should be nice up there this weekend, but we're recommending layers and a windbreaker, as well as sturdy, outdoor shoes. The Adventure Peak area is pretty thawed out, but there is still a lot of snow around and can create some soggy conditions.
Please remember that the Gondola is a non-smoking activity. Definitely not in the cabins, not at the base and only in one designated spot at the top.
Also remember that this is the final weekend to secure your 2010-11 Heavenly season ski or snowboard pass
