NEW BIKE SHOP OPENS AT SQUAW VALLEY USA THIS SATURDAY

[Squaw Valley USA] June 8, 2010 – Squaw Valley’s ski rental shop transforms into a full-service bike rental shop opening this Saturday, June 12. The shop, located at the base of the mountain, will feature downhill and freeride bikes for mountain biking as well as comfort cruisers for the paved bike path. Bike rentals will be available for both kids and adults, and attachable trailers and trail-a-bikes will be available for small children.

“I think the addition of the bike shop will bring a lot to Squaw Valley. Squaw is such a great place to be all year long, and now guests will have the opportunity to explore it for themselves on two wheels,” said Roy Hage, Bike Shop Manager.

Located on one of America’s most renowned Class 1 bike trails, Squaw Valley USA has access to some of the best trail biking in the country. Bikers can follow the trail along the Truckee River from Squaw to the sparkling blue waters of Lake Tahoe. Safely separated from the Route 89, the trail provides an incredibly scenic and safe way to tour the Tahoe area.

“Biking from Squaw to Tahoe City and back is great way to spend the afternoon with friends and family. The trail is a smooth, friendly ride as it follows the Truckee River all the way to Lake Tahoe,” said Hage.
