A BLUEBIRD POWDER DAY

SQUAW VALLEY scheduled the Tram, Funitel, 8 chair lifts, 4 surface lifts at EL 6200, at EL 8200 11 lifts, 6 Parks, Ice Skating, Fine Dinning and shopping also available. Squaw Valley did receive 5 to 12” of fresh powder.

ALPINE MEADOWS has 8 lifts planned for today along with 2 parks, new snow fall of 5 to 7”.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN with 24 lifts scheduled for today. Four parks and their Olympic size 1/2 pipe in operation. Mammouth did receive 3” of new snow.

SUGAR BOWL should have 10 lifts in operation; they have 3 parks open. Sugar Bowl did receive 3 to 7” of fresh new snow.

HEAVENLY will operate 26 out of 30 lifts on both the California Side and the Nevada Side, along with 2 parks available. They did receive 5 to 7” of fresh powder.

KIRKWOOD should operate 7 lifts, with 5 additional lifts on hold for today, with 3 parks available. The cross country center is open with 50 K. They have received 8 to 10” of fresh snow.

BOREAL MOUNTAIN RESORT is planning to have 6 lifts for day and 2 for night skiing. Boreal did received 10 to 18” of new snow.

SODA SPRINGS should operate 5 lifts plus the mini snowmobiles; they did receive 10 to 18” of fresh powder. .

MT ROSE 5 lifts scheduled plus the Chuter which is on hold. They received 4 to 5” of new powder in the last 12 hours.

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE is operating 2 parks, their super pipe is closed for rebuild, 16 lifts in operation, the Ice Rink is open from 12 noon to 8 PM, Cross Country and Telemark Center are open with 54 trails with 88 K of track. Northstar did receive 1 to 6” of fresh powder.

SIERRA AT TAHOE has 7 lifts running today, along with 4 parks. Sierra did receive 3” of new snow.

TAHOE DONNER 5 lifts scheduled; the XC area is open with 12 trails and 21K of track set. They did receive 16 to 20” of fresh powder.

DIAMOND PEAK is planning on 5 lifts in operation, and 2 parks. They have received 2” of new snow.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT is open with 6 lifts with 2 parks. They received 10 to 14” of fresh light powder.

THE WEATHER WAS TAKEN BETWEEN 4:30 AM AND 6 AM AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY. THE WEATHER WAS CLOUDY WITH SNOW SHOWERS TO CLEARING TO CLEAR, TEMPRATURES WERE IN THE MID SINGLE DIGETS TO MID 20’S; WINDS 5 MPH TO 25 MPH WINDS, THE PEAKS AND RIDGES HAVE HIGHER GUSTS. THE SURFACE CONDITIONS FRESH POWDER, MACHINE GROOMED, IF YOU GO OUT OF BOUNDS, THERE IS AN EXTREAM AVALANCH DANGER, HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT WITH YOU. WE ASK YOU TO BE AWARE RIDE AND SKI WITH CARE.
