WINTER IS RETURNING

SQUAW VALLEY scheduled the Tram, Funitel, 5 chair lifts, 4 surface lifts at EL 6200, at EL 8200 10 lifts, with 4” of fresh snow. They have 4 Parks, Ice Skating, Fine Dinning and shopping also available.

ALPINE MEADOWS has 9 lifts planned for today along with 2 parks. It was snowing when they posted their report.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN with 22 lifts scheduled for today. Four parks, 2 1/2 pipes in operation.

SUGAR BOWL should have 8 lifts in operation; they have 3 parks open. Sugar Bowl did receive 3 to 4” o new powder.

HEAVENLY will operate 24 out of 30 lifts on both the California Side and the Nevada Side, along with 5 parks available.

KIRKWOOD should operate 10 lifts, with 3 parks, half pipe is available. The cross country center is open with 50 K. they did receive 3” of fresh snow.

BOREAL MOUNTAIN RESORT is planning to have 4 lifts for day and 2 for night skiing. Boreal did receive 3 to 5” of new snow.

SODA SPRINGS should operate 5 lifts plus the mini snowmobiles. Soda Springs did receive 3 to 5” of new snow.

MT ROSE 2 lifts scheduled, along with 2 additional lifts on hold. They have three parks in operation.

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE is operating 6 parks, their super pipe is open, 14 lifts in operation, the Ice Rink is open from 12 noon to 8 PM, and the Cross Country and Telemark Center are open with 86 trails. They did receive 21/2” of fresh snow.

SIERRA AT TAHOE has 6 lifts running today, along with 3 parks. They did receive a trace of new snow.

TAHOE DONNER 4 lifts scheduled one park is available; the XC area is open with 33 trails with 61k of track.

DIAMOND PEAK is planning on 5 lifts in operation, and 1 park. Diamond Peak did receive a dusting of new snow.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT is open with 7 lifts, with 2 parks. They did receive 1” of fresh snow

THE WEATHER WAS TAKEN BETWEEN 4:30 AM AND 6 AM AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY. THE WEATHER WAS PARTLY CLOUDY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE. TODAYS TEMPRATURES WERE IN THE MID 20’s TO THE MID 30S. THE WINDS 15 MPH TO 45 MPH WINDS, THE PEAKS AND RIDGES HAVE HIGHER GUSTS. THE SURFACE CONDITIONS SKIER PACKED POWDER, MACHINE GROOMEDWITH SOME FRESH SNOW ON TOP. IF YOU GO OUT OF BOUNDS, THERE IS AN AVALANCH DANGER, HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT WITH YOU. WE ASK YOU TO BE AWARE RIDE AND SKI WITH CARE.
