High winds could effect operations today

SQUAW VALLEY USA no report today

ALPINE MEADOWS 36 to 48” base with8 to 11” of new snow, 5 lifts for today.

KIRKWOOD is planning on running 5 lifts, 24 to 40” base with 30 to 36” of new snow.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN is planning on 23 lifts for today. Total base depth of 38 to 72” with 3” of new snow.

SUGAR BOWL lift operation today should be 6 lifts. Their base is 21 to 31” with 12 to 24’ of new snow, access thru Mt. Juda Base Lodge only.

HEAVENLY will operate The Gondola in California with all lifts closed and 5 lifts in Nevada. Access will be thru the California Base Lodge on the Gondola. They have received 3 to 4” of new snow, call before you go for a lift update.

BOREAL 4 lifts in operation for day skiing, 2 until 9 PM tonight, 31 t0 40” base with 12” of new snow.

MT ROSE Closed today due to extreme weather.

NORTHSTAR 35 to 40” base, with 7 to 9” of new snow they are planning to operate 8 lifts.

SIERRA AT TAHOE 8 TO 12” base, with 5 lifts, 8 to 12” base with 3” of new snow.

TAHOE DONNER 18 to 20” base 2 lifts in operation, Cross Country 22 trails with 41 K of track with on going grooming.

ALL LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY! Surface conditions powder, machine groomed, and machine tilled snow. Areas with snow making will make snow when the conditions are right. It is early season skiing there are obstacles both manmade and natural, watch for them. We ask you to please be aware ride and ski with care.

Today’s weather was taken between 4 AM and 6:00 AM and is subject to change. The temperatures are in the mid teens to the mid 20’s; the winds were 15 to 35 MPH with higher gusts over the peaks and ridges. The sky was cloudy and snowing at some areas depending where you are with a storm expected.
