Skiing is great!

SQUAW VALLEY USA El 6200 The Cable Car, Funitel plus 9 lifts. El 8200 has 9 lifts. Their base runs from 26 to 30”s. Jonny Moseley has been named Chief Mountain Host. He will host daily mountain ski tours Dec 26 thru Jan 3, none on New Years day, at 10 AM at the top of the Funitel.

ALPINE MEADOWS 30 to 60” base with 1 to 2” of new snow, 5 lifts for today.

KIRKWOOD is planning on running 5 lifts, 42 to 54” base X/C 10K of M/G track with 10K for snowshoes only. .

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN is planning on 24 lifts for today. With a base depth of 38 to 72”.

JUNE MOUNTAIN plans on operating 5 lifts, their base is 6 to 12”.

SUGAR BOWL lift operation today should be 7 lifts plus the gondola for additional access. Their base is 25 to 40”.

HEAVENLY will operate The Gondola and tram ion the California side along with 7 lifts. The Nevada side has 10 lifts in Nevada. Access will be thru the California Base Lodge and Stage Coach on the Nevada side.

BOREAL 7 lifts in operation for day skiing, 2 until 9 PM tonight, 31 t0 40” base.

MT ROSE 6 lifts in operation their base is 15 to 22”.

NORTHSTAR 35 to 40” base plus 3” of new snow, they are planning to operate 14 lifts. X/C has 20 K of M/G track.

SIERRA AT TAHOE 18 TO 12” base they received a trace of new snow, with 7 lifts in operation today.

TAHOE DONNER has an 18 to 20” base. Operating 1 lift in today, Cross Country 22 trails with 41 K of track with on going grooming.

SODA SPRINGS will operate 2 lifts today. They have a base of 20 to 30”.

ROYAL GORGE X COUNTRY 48” base, 22 trails with 40k of M/G track.

DIAMOND PEAK 3 lifts with 1” of new snow.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT

ALL LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY! Surface conditions powder, machine groomed, and skier pack snow. Areas with snow making will make snow when the conditions are right. It is early season skiing there are obstacles both manmade and natural, watch for them. We ask you to please be aware ride and ski with care.

Today’s weather was taken between 4 AM and 6:00 AM and is subject to change. The temperatures are in the mid 20’s to the low 30’s; the winds were 0 to 15 MPH with some higher gusts over the peaks and ridges. The sky was stormy.
