Fresh Powder!

SQUAW VALLEY USA El 6200 will operate the Cable Car, Funitel plus 5 lifts new snow fall of 1 to 2”; El 8200 has 11 lifts, with 2 to 3” of new snow. Night Skiing with the Cable Car and 2 lifts, the Mountain run is open. Squaw Valley offers $30 Lift Ticket to California State Workers on furlough Fridays valid on the first and third Friday of each month. You must have a valid state ID, or Pay Stub dated after December 31, 2008; go to Booth D between 8 AM and 11:30 AM.

ALPINE MEADOWS 6 lifts for today the winds at the mid and upper were as high as 47 MPH from the SSW.

KIRKWOOD received 2 to 4” of new and they are planning on running 11 lifts; the X/C area has 65K of M/G track.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN 13”of new snow, lift operation should be 24 for today.

JUNE MOUNTAIN

SUGAR BOWL will operate the Gondola and 8 lifts. They have received 6 to 12” of new snow.

HEAVENLY they will operate The Gondola and Tram on the California side along with 8 lifts. The Nevada side has 11 lifts. They received a trace to 1” of new snow.

BOREAL should operate 6 lifts for day skiing, 2 for night skiing tonight. They received 3 to 4” of new snow.

SODA SPRINGS received 3 5o 5” of new snow is operating 5 lifts plus the mini snowmobiles for today.

MT ROSE 6 lifts in operation for today.

NORTHSTAR 13 lifts in operation; cross country has 30 K of Machine Groomed track open. They received 1 to 2” of new snow.

SIERRA AT TAHOE received 1” of new snow; they are planning on 7 lifts today.

TAHOE DONNER operating 3 lift in today, Cross Country 38 trails with 78 K of machine groomed track. They received 1 to 3” of new snow.

DIAMOND PEAK did receive 3” of new snow, with 4 lifts scheduled for today.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT lift operation today should be 6; they received 1 to 3” of new snow.

ROYAL GORGE X/C 23 trails 61K of M/G track, with 3 to 4” of new snow.

DONNER SKI RANCH 6 lifts scheduled for today.

ALL LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY! Surface conditions fresh powder, machine groomed powder, skier packed powder, hard pack with some icy spots off the groomed runs. There are obstacles both marked and unmarked. We ask you to please be aware ride and ski with care.

Today’s weather was taken between 4 AM and 6:00 AM and is subject to change. The temperatures are in the mid 20’s; the winds were 5 to 15 MPH with higher gusts depending where you are.
