MORE WINTER WOUNDER LAND LOTS OF POWDER FOR THE POWDER HOUNDS



SQUAW VALLEY EL 6200 will be operating the Tram Funitel and 12, at EL 8200; they will operate 10 lifts and 2 parks.  They did receive 16” of fresh powder.

ALPINE MEADOWS is open with 13 lifts, and 3 parks.   Alpine did receive 16” of fresh snow.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN should have 27 lifts in operation today.  Fresh snow fall of 19”,

SUGAR BOWL gondola plus 8 lifts running along with 3 open parks.   Sugar Bowl did receive 18 to 30” of new snow.

ROYAL GORGE CROSS COUNTRY has 111K of m/g track for your enjoyment.  Fresh snow fall of 18 to 30”.

HEAVENLY access via the Gondola, Tram, with 27 lifts scheduled today.  Heavenly did receive 8” of fresh powder.

KIRKWOOD 10 lifts scheduled; their cross country area is open with 50K of M/G track.  Kirkwood did receive 18 to 24” of new powder.   
          
BOREAL MOUNTAIN RESORT received 15 to 18” of new snow.  They will operate 7 lifts for day skiing and 2 lift for night till 9 PM.  The tubing park is open from 10AM until 8PM.  

SODA SPRINGS 2 lifts for skiing and 3 lifts for tubing, for full operation today.  

MT ROSE   lift operation today should be 6 lifts today, 1 additional lift on hold for snow safety. Mt Rose did receive 10 to 12” of new snow in the last 12 hours.

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE 18 lifts three parks in operation today, X/C 35K of M/G track.  They did receive 12 to 17” of fresh snow.

SIERRA AT TAHOE 11 lifts in operation today, along with 3 parks.  They did receive 9 to 13” of new snow.

TAHOE DONNER operating 4 lifts; X/C has over 100K of track with on going grooming. 

DIAMOND PEAK is open today with top to bottom skiing; they will operate 7 lifts, one park. They did receive 20” of new snow.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT will operate 6 lifts along with one park. New snow fall of 12 to 20”.

DONNER SKI RANCH should operate 7 lifts for today.

THE WEATHER WAS TAKEN BETWEEN 4:30 AM AND 6 AM AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY. THE WEATHER WAS CLOUDY WITH SNOW SHOWERS. TEMPRATURES WERE IN THE MID TEEN’S TO THE MID 20’S. THE WIND WERE 5 TO 15 MPH, WITH HIGHER GUSTS OVER THE PEAKS AND RIDES.  AREAS WITH SNOW MAKING ARE MAKING SNOW WHEN EVER POSSIBLE. THE SURFACE CONDITION FRESH POWDER, M/G, AND SKIER PACKED POWDER.  THERE ARE OBSTICLES BOTH MARKED AND UNMARKED, WE ASK YOU TO BE AWARE RIDE AND SKI WITH CARE.

THERE IS AN EXTREAM AVALANCH DANGER, IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE BACK COUNTRY PLEASE TAKE THE PROPPER SURVIVAL GEAR AND GO WITH A GROUP.
