Three Days Left Until Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ December 7 Season Pass Deadline

Purchase by December 7 and save up to $100 on a Tahoe Super Pass and Tahoe Super Pass Plus
[Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows, Calif.] December 4, 2012 – Those looking to experience this winter to the fullest are encouraged to buy a Tahoe Super Pass or Tahoe Super Pass Plus before prices go up as much as $100 after December 7. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows announced last month that the resorts will be adding access to Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort to the gold and silver Tahoe Super Passes – renaming them the Tahoe Super Pass Plus.

The Tahoe Super Pass Plus is available now through December 7 starting at $519. A silver Thaoe Super Pass Plus pays for itself in just six days - and the bronze Tahoe Super Pass (valid at Squaw and Alpine) pays for itself in five days. Passes are available for purchase at www.tahoesuperpass.com. In addition to great season pass deals for all ages - kids 4 and under ski and ride free at Squaw and Alpine.

With the new Tahoe Super Pass Plus, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ new and existing gold and silver passholders will now have access to 8,000 acres, 15 terrain parks, 2 super pipes, 57 lifts, and 316 trails across three Lake Tahoe ski resorts. The Tahoe Super Pass Plus will be valid at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort Sunday-Friday, non-holiday. Blackout dates will include December 26-31, January 19-20 and February 16-17.

This new season pass perk comes in addition to discounted lift tickets for friends, free or discounted dawn patrols, free spring pool access and discounts on lodging, lessons, lift tickets and food. Gold passholders will also receive 50 percent off lift tickets all season long at Squaw and Alpine’s sister Mountain Collective resorts: Aspen/Snowmass, Jackson Hole and Alta.

Together Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort offer an amazing trio that spans both shores of Lake Tahoe. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are renowned for legendary terrain, spectacular views from high alpine peaks, and a wide host of accommodating amenities including new terrain parks, activities for kids, the world’s first ski-in/ski-out Starbucks and a celebrated adaptive ski program. The College Tahoe Super Pass is available for $389 and is Lake Tahoe’s only dual mountain college season pass with no blackout dates. The College Tahoe Super Pass is valid at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows but does not include Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort. The deadline for the College Tahoe Super Pass is December 17.

The 2012-13 winter season also brings $24 million in improvements to the resorts, including three new chairlifts at Squaw Valley, Tahoe’s only mile-long terrain park at Alpine Meadows and vastly improved snowmaking systems at both resorts. The investments are part of year two of The Renaissance, a five-year and $70 million capital improvement plan to enhance every aspect of the guest experience at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.

2012-13 Season Pass Pricing:The following is the adult pricing for the 2012-13 season pass, guaranteed only through December 7.

GOLD - $749
Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ Gold pass offers unlimited skiing and riding with absolutely no blackout dates. With a Gold pass, skiers and riders get the most pass benefits and can take full advantage of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ legendary terrain every day of the winter season. No restrictions. New this year, Gold passes will be valid at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort Sunday-Friday, non-holiday. Gold passholders will also receive 50% off lift tickets all season long at Alta, Aspen/Snowmass and Jackson Hole.

SILVER - $519
Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ Silver pass is ideal for those looking to ski weekends but willing to pass up the three major holiday periods in exchange for great savings. Pass not valid during select holiday dates.* New this year, Gold passes will be valid at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort Sunday-Friday, non-holiday.

BRONZE - $429
With only 16 blackout dates total, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ most inexpensive pass is an incredible deal for those willing to do without a handful of peak days. Pass not valid during select holiday dates and Saturdays in January and February**

COLLEGE - $389
New this season, the College Tahoe Super Pass is valid every single day of the 2012-13 winter season, and is Lake Tahoe’s only dual mountain college season pass with no blackout dates. The College Pass is available to all full-time college students and graduate students (12 credits or more) at accredited colleges and universities. (Price valid through December 17).

YOUNG ADULT
Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows’ young adult rates are available for ages 13-22, the largest young adult age range in the Tahoe region. Young adult rates are as follows: Gold - $569; Silver - $389; Bronze- $319.
