THE STORM SEEMS TO BE LETTING UP, GREAT POWDER SKIING TODAY



SQUAW VALLEY EL 6200 will be operating the Tram Funitel and 12, they received 18” of new snow at EL 8200 received 18” of fresh snow; they will operate 5 lifts and 2 parks. 

ALPINE MEADOWS is open with 12 lifts, and 3 parks.  Alpine did receive 22” of fresh powder.   

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN should have 27 lifts in operation today; new snow fall of 18”.

SUGAR BOWL gondola plus 6 lifts running along with two open parks.  Sugar Bowl did receive 25” of new powder.  

ROYAL GORGE CROSS COUNTRY has 32K of m/g track for your enjoyment, with 23 to 30” of new snow.     

HEAVENLY access via the Gondola, Tram, with 27 lifts scheduled today. Heavenly did receive 18” of new snow.

KIRKWOOD 10 lifts scheduled; their cross country area is open with 50K of M/G track.   They did receive 18 to 38” of new snow.
          
BOREAL MOUNTAIN RESORT 7 lifts for day skiing and 2 lift for night till 9 PM.  They have one park open. The tubing park is open from 10AM until 8PM. Both Boreal and Soda Springs did receive 30 to 40” of new snow.

SODA SPRINGS 2 lifts for skiing and 3 lifts for tubing, for full operation today.  

MT ROSE   lift operation today should be 6 lifts today, and 1 delayed start. they did receive 3” of new snow in the last 12 hours. .

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE 15 lifts three parks in operation today, X/C 35K of M/G track. They did receive 15 to 18” of new snow.   

SIERRA AT TAHOE received 16” of new snow with 10 lifts in operation today, and 2 parks.

TAHOE DONNER operating 3 lifts; X/C has 11K of track with on going grooming. 

DIAMOND PEAK is open today with top to bottom skiing; they will operate 6 lifts, one park. They did receive 20” of new snow.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT will operate 6 lifts along with one park. New snow fall of 12 to 20”.
Their
DONNER SKI RANCH should operate 3 lifts for today.

THE WEATHER WAS TAKEN BETWEEN 4:30 AM AND 6 AM AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY. THE WEATHER WAS CLOUDY WITH SNOW SHOWERS. TEMPRATURES WERE IN THE MID TEEN’S TO THE HIGH 20’S. THE WIND WERE 5 TO 25 MPH, WITH HIGHER GUSTS OVER THE PEAKS AND RIDES.  AREAS WITH SNOW MAKING ARE MAKING SNOW WHEN EVER POSSIBLE. THE SURFACE CONDITION FRESH POWDER, M/G, AND SKIER PACKED POWDER.  THERE ARE OBSTICLES BOTH MARKED AND UNMARKED, WE ASK YOU TO BE AWARE RIDE AND SKI WITH CARE.
