ANOTHER POWDER DAY

SQUAW VALLEY scheduled the Tram, 5 chair lifts, 3 surface lifts at EL 6200, at EL 8200 9 lifts, 6 Parks, Ice Skating, Fine Dinning and shopping also available. Squaw Valley did receive 14” of fresh powder.

ALPINE MEADOWS has 9 lifts planned for today along with 2 parks, new snow fall of 12 to 23”.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN with 22 lifts scheduled for today. Four parks and their Olympic size 1/2 pipe in operation. Mammouth did receive 2” of new snow.

SUGAR BOWL should have 8 lifts in operation; they have 3 parks open. Sugar Bowl did receive 10 to 14” of fresh new snow.

HEAVENLY will operate 22 out of 30 lifts on both the California Side and the Nevada Side, along with 2 parks available. They did receive 5” of fresh powder.

KIRKWOOD should operate 9 lifts today, with 3 parks available. The cross country center is open with 50 K. They have received 6 to 8” of fresh snow overnight.

BOREAL MOUNTAIN RESORT is planning to have 4 lifts for day and 2 for night skiing. Boreal and Soda Springs have received 9 to 13” of new snow.

SODA SPRINGS is closed today call for an update.

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE is operating 2 parks, their super pipe is open. 14 lifts in operation, the Ice Rink is open from 12 noon to 8 PM, Cross Country and Telemark Center are open with 38 trails. Northstar did receive 9” of fresh powder.

SIERRA AT TAHOE has 6 lifts running today, along with 4 parks. Sierra did receive 7” of new snow.

TAHOE DONNER 4 lifts scheduled; the XC area is open with 12 trails and 21K of track set.

DIAMOND PEAK is planning on 5 lifts in operation, and 2 parks. They have received 8 to 10” of new snow.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT is open with 4 lifts with 2 parks. They received 6 to 8” of fresh light powder.

THE WEATHER WAS TAKEN BETWEEN 4:30 AM AND 6 AM AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY. THE WEATHER WAS CLOUDY WITH SNOW SHOWERS, TEMPRATURES WERE IN THE LOW TEENS TO MID 20’S; WINDS 15 MPH TO 45 MPH WINDS, THE PEAKS AND RIDGES HAVE GUSTS TO 60 PLUS. THE SURFACE CONDITIONS FRESH POWDER, MACHINE GROOMED, SKIER PACKED POWDER. THERE ARE OBSTICLES BOTH MARKED AND UNMARKED. IF YOU GO OUT OF BOUNDS, THERE IS AN AVALANCH DANGER, HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT WITH YOU. WE ASK YOU TO BE AWARE RIDE AND SKI WITH CARE.
