A MAJOR POWDER DAY!!

SQUAW VALLEY scheduled the Tram, Funitel, 5 chair lifts, 3 surface lifts at EL 6200, at EL 8200 10 lifts, 6 Parks, Ice Skating, Fine Dinning and shopping also available. Squaw Valley did receive 13” of fresh powder.

ALPINE MEADOWS has 7 lifts planned for today along with 2 parks, new snow fall of 14.

MAMMOUTH MOUNTAIN with 22 lifts scheduled for today. Four parks and their Olympic size 1/2 pipe in operation. Mammouth did receive 4” of new snow.

SUGAR BOWL should have 8 lifts in operation; they have 5 parks open. Sugar Bowl did receive 8 to 14” of fresh new snow.

HEAVENLY will operate 22 out of 30 lifts on both the California Side and the Nevada Side, along with 2 parks available. They did receive 17” of fresh powder.

KIRKWOOD should operate 10 lifts today, with 3 parks available. The cross country center is open with 50 K. They have received 16” of fresh snow.

BOREAL MOUNTAIN RESORT is planning to have 4 lifts for day and 2 for night skiing. Boreal and Soda Springs have received 15 to 22” of new snow.

SODA SPRINGS is closed today call for an update.

MT ROSE has scheduled 3 lifts for today the Chuter is closed. They did receive a trace to 19” to 22” of new snow.

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE is operating 2 parks, their super pipe is open. 14 lifts in operation, the Ice Rink is open from 12 noon to 8 PM, Cross Country and Telemark Center are open with 38 trails. Northstar did receive 12 to 14” of fresh powder.

SIERRA AT TAHOE has 8 lifts running today, along with 2 parks. Sierra did receive 9” of new snow.

TAHOE DONNER is operating with 5 lifts; the XC area is open with 12 trails and 21K of track set.

DIAMOND PEAK is planning on 5 lifts in operation, and 2 parks. They have received 8” of new snow.

HOMEWOOD MOUNTAIN RESORT is open with 4 lifts with 2 parks. They received 11 to 17” of fresh light powder.

THE WEATHER WAS TAKEN BETWEEN 4:30 AM AND 6 AM AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. LIFT OPERATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO WIND WEATHER AND SNOW SAFETY. THE WEATHER WAS CLOUDY WITH SNOW SHOWERS TO CLEARING WITH SUN, TEMPRATURES WERE IN THE MID TEENS TO MID 20’S; WINDS 5 MPH TO 15 MPH WINDS, THE PEAKS AND RIDGES HAVE HIGHER GUSTS. THE SURFACE CONDITIONS FRESH POWDER, MACHINE GROOMED, SKIER PACKED POWDER. THERE ARE OBSTICLES BOTH MARKED AND UNMARKED. IF YOU GO OUT OF BOUNDS, THERE IS AN AVALANCH DANGER, HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT WITH YOU. WE ASK YOU TO BE AWARE RIDE AND SKI WITH CARE.
